Want to invert an images color in Pixelmator for Mac? Inverting a picture does exactly what it sounds like, it takes an image and inverts the colors so that each color is its opposite.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There are two ways you can invert images in Pixelmator on the Mac, one using a keystroke combination and the other using the image effects panel.<\/p>\n

How to Invert Images Color in Pixelmator on Mac<\/h2>\n

For many users, the command+I keyboard shortcut will be the easiest and most familiar since that was the longstanding \u201cInvert\u201d keystroke from Adobe Photoshop as well. On the other hand, the effects panel approach will be better for other users since it offers a visual cue. You can use either or both to invert any image or selection in Pixelmator.<\/p>\n

Inverting Images with Command + I Keyboard Shortcut<\/h3>\n

Press Command + i<\/strong> to immediately invert the current image, photo, picture, or selection in Pixelmator.<\/p>\n

Inverting Images through the Pixelmator Effects Panel<\/h3>\n

    1. Pull down the \u201cView\u201d menu and choose \u201cShow Effects\u201d if the effects browser panel is not visible on the screen<\/li>\n
    2. Pull down the dropdown menu in the Effects panel and choose either \u201cAll Effects\u201d or \u201cColor Adjustments\u201d<\/li>\n
    3. Scroll through the Effects until you see \u201cInvert\u201d and then double-click on that to apply the image color inversion to the current picture, image, or item selected on the screen<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      However you inverted the image, you can either reverse the inversion by doing it again, or by performing the Mac undo action of Command+Z (and you can redo as well if you want to apply the inversion again).<\/p>\n
